I was born by the river in a little tent
And just like that river I’ve been running ever since
It’s been a long time coming
But I know a change is gonna come, oh yes it will…

Being in healthy relationships means choosing to invest your time in people who nourish your heart and mind. Commitment, then, is only healthy when what you’re committed to is committed to your well-being.

New for the bookshelf

This winter we started carrying some choice arts & comic books from Nobrow Press, Koyama Press, and children’s publisher, Flying Eye Books. As zine and small press comic nerds, we couldn’t be more stoked to have this stuff within easy reach in our own shop. :D

Kyle Platts’ Festival Frenzy in particular is leporello format, which is one long accordion folded book that you can either keep as is or unfold and hang as art. Pretty neat, huh kiddo?

I feel exactly the same way, which is why I’ve always been fascinated with the idea of personal and stylistic uniforms and how they allow the everyday person the ability to explore and express themselves without having to complicate or explain who they are. In some ways, they are used as defense mechanisms, as methods of fitting in. In others, they are a method, a system. First comes the order, then comes the madness.
